As far as Marketing Manager Jess is concerned, the most important upcoming event is still 55 days, 4 hours and 13 minutes away. However, between now and Australia Day (Jan 26) Le PUB will be offering a veritable treasure trove of opportunities to celebrate.

After a month of letting it all hang out, this is what Movember boiled down to. Our 18 Mo Bros, strutted their stuff on the Le PUB catwalk to demonstrate their facial hair growing capabilities. The esteemed judging panel *cough, a bunch of ladies, cough* studied the pedigree of the contenders *cough, perved on them, cough* before carefully deliberating *cough, drank a bottle of wine,cough* and awarding the prizes.

With categories such as Dirty Sanchez, 'Not your "mo"ment', 'Tinge of Ginge' and the hotly contested Man of Movember (won by our very own manager Kim) the real winner was the battle against prostate cancer. The money raised from the evening will be donated to cancer patients at the Hospital K on Hai Ba Trung St Hanoi. Thank you to all who participated and supported this very worthy cause. Movember Finale - the Mo Awards at Le PUB Xuan Dieu
Our month long celebration of the 'stache is almost over. It's time to separate the men from the boys, and see just how well they have cultivated their facial hair. We have a Mo parade, awards ceremony and of course ice cold beer. The festivities kick off at 7:30 at Le PUB 9 Xuan Dieu, Tay Ho.

Le PUB: Proud Sponsor of the HIWC Annual Charity Bazaar
The 19th Annual Charity Bazaar will be held on Sunday November 28th from 10am - 4pm at the My Dinh Aquatic Sports Palace/Khu liên hợp thể thao dưới nước Mỹ Đình (picture here). Hosted by the HIWC, the event is attended by over 5000 people each year and raises money for women and children needing assistance in Hanoi and Northern Vietnam. The Le PUB group is proud to once again be a sponsor of the bazaar and wishes the HIWC a successful day.
Tickets for the Annual Charity Bazaar are available from Restaurant Number Five (5 Hang Be) and cost 100,000 VND for adults and 50,000 VND for children.

Le PUB gets arty with Pauline Roby and the HIWC
Le PUB Xuan Dieu is very honored to host still life classes with Australian artist Pauline Roby. Run in conjunction with the Hanoi International Women's Club (HIWC), the short course focuses on developing and building still life drawing skills using techniques such as blind drawing and quick sketching. The current course which is available exclusively for HIWC members is well underway, but Pauline has plans to run more courses in the future. The Movember festivities continue with a "movelicious" quiz night. Quiz master Simon Norton is sure to provide a night full of entertainment as teams battle it out for the glory of being Movember Quiz Champions. The cost is 100,000 VND per player which includes 2 free drinks. Proceeds from the quiz will be donated to Sympameals to provide food for cancer patients. Beer + Charity = The best combination
Le PUB has kicked off it's charity work for 2010 with "Beers for Books". Presented by the House Husbands United - Hanoi, this innovative charity combines two of the best things in life: drinking and reading. On October 20th at Le PUB Xuan Dieu from 6pm - 10pm for every tiger draught we sell, we will donate the proceeds to 'Room to Read's' literacy programs in Vietnam. The House Husbands United - Hanoi have also arranged an evening of fantastic entertainment including a DJ and general merriment. See you there!

Le PUB does Movember again!
Once again Le PUB gets a little Mo spirit and gets involved in facial hair for Movember.
We are very excited and are hoping for a massive response for Movember 2010. Following last years success we hope to have many more participants this year and raise some cash and awareness of men's health issues. Once again we have gained the support of the International SOS Clinic who will be providing us all with a serious angle to Movember. At Le PUB however we are looking forward to ridiculous facial hair and lots of cold beer. Look out for lots of fun events throughout Movember!

Proof that we really do have the coldest beer in Hanoi!
Here at Le PUB we pride ourselves on (nay practically shout from the rooftops) having the coldest beer in Hanoi. So it was a great pleasure to read a review on Tripadvisor that verified our claims. According to reviewer Aussie_Brady_Bunch "The staff were very welcoming and the beer truly was the coldest we had in Hanoi."
